My current positions is Senior Graduate of Architecture for TKD Architects - Sydney, Australia.

 

Before joining TKDA , I worked for several award winning practices, in South Africa and abroad in the UK on a variety of large scale and small scale projects.

 

Career highlights:

Savage Dodd Architects

• Completed Land Parcel 2 at the Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley, Northern Cape, SA.

•Converting existing office buildings into multi-use residential accommodation in the inner-city of Johannesburg.  

• Gaining European exposure to design and detailing whilst living in the UK. (Working as a Part II equivalent Architectural designer).

• Working on multiple private residential projects.


Skills: I have considerable expertise and hands-on experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) utilising Autodesk Revit Architecture on projects, from conceptual design to building completion.

Tanner Kibble Denton Architects is an award winning multi-disciplinary practice that brings together the skills of contemporary architecture, adaptive re-use, interior design, urban design and strategic planning.

Key Job Role:

My primary job role is a Project Architect in the Residential Team for the delivery of High End Houses. 


I previously worked within the Educational Design Team as a key member in the delivery of design, and tender documentation. I have been tasked with BIM design resolution on primary façade and screen elements, consultant coordination and team management delivery.
Achievements:
Alexandria Park Community School.
•Successful submission of SSDA for the Proposed K-12 •80% Tender documents issued for costing.
Cammeraygal High School Senior Campus.
•95% Tender documents issued for Construction. Contractor novation design co-ordination for a favourable outcome for all invested role players.

Savage + Dodd Architects are well known for their Social and Academic Architecture.

 

Recent completed Academic works include - the Undergraduate Science Centre and the Mathematical Sciences building at the WITS campus, and Land Parcel 2 at the Sol Plaatje University, Kimberley.

 

Completed social projects would include BRICKFIELDS (a benchmark housing development project ), Union square (80 Plein St) and 280 Smit St to name just a few.

Key Job Roles: 

  • Conceptualizing of competition entries and resolution of design work.

  • Management of a production team for the resolution of detailed co-ordination drawings and construction drawings.

  • Using BIM Software (Autodesk, REVIT) to co-ordinate and clash detect multiple consultant services.
