The House has an H shapped plan with half the house built over the foot print of the origional residence. The H shaped plan lends itself to a simple split in the private and puplic funcions of the house. The entrance occurs in the main light filled link between the two spaces which houses a large piano and fire place. The client an avid musician has a music room above the kitchen area which overlooks the main living area. Materials were kept simple with the use of timber cladding which will weather grey with age,
